Bowmore, ‘the first Islay Single malt since 1779’, established itself as the first malt distillery on the Isle of Islay and is one of the oldest distilleries in Scotland. Since then, Bowmore has developed into the number 1 and most requested Islay malt. Islay malts are famous for their distinctive smoky flavour. Bowmore subtly expresses this, through traditional preparation with peat-fired fire, according to the more than 200 year old Bowmore tradition.
This 27 year old Islay Single Malt is a beautiful example and has matured for 15 years on a mix of ex-Sherry and ex-Bourbon casks. Then the whisky was crossed into ex First Fill Oloroso Sherry butts. Bottled at Cask Strength 52.7% and individually numbered with a limited edition of 3000 bottles. This two-part series is an ode to craftsmanship and time. The time it takes to create this wonderful product. The whisky comes in a very luxurious packaging and accessories. A lust for the eye.

Bowmore 27 years old Timeless Series is a great example of a whisky that has been aged to perfection. The nose is full of fruity aromas, with cooked plums, plum jam and raisins being the most prominent. There is also a strong Oloroso sherry influence present, which gives the whisky a sweet and rich aroma.
The taste is just as impressive, with sweet notes of chestnut honey and beeswax balanced by the fresh notes of leather and cigar tobacco. The finish is long and fragrant, with burnt wood, dry fruit and incense being the most prominent flavours.
