This Glen Scotia is one of the distillery’s oldest releases. Matured in American oak with a finish of ex-bourbon casks, this whisky has been awarded several times as a winner in the World Spirits Competition. An absolute masterpiece.
Glen Scotia belongs to the Loch Lomond Group and has achieved one success after another. The whole world is beginning to recognize and, more importantly, appreciate the quality of Glen Scotia. This 25-year-old is therefore the flagship of the distillery.
Due to its uniqueness, the Campbeltown region is classified as one of the 5 regions of Scotland. Each region has its own specific character and so does the whisky from the Campbeltown island, where only three distilleries are currently active. Founded in 1832, Glen Scotia is one of those three distilleries. It is also one of the smallest distilleries in Scotland. The craftsmanship and love for the water of life can still be seen at Glen Scotia. Each barrel is still selected and graded by the Master Blender, John Peterson. The Glen Scotia Distillery is still in almost the same condition as it was in the 19th century when then owner Duncan MacCallum refurbished the distillery. An idyllic place that makes many whisky enthusiasts’ hearts beat faster.
With this 25-year-old Glen Scotia from this unique region, we have the real craft in our hands. Winning gold medals confirms this once again. A topper in our collection.

Tasting note
The distinctive nose has hints of vanilla oak intertwined with the subtle notes of sea spray and spicy aromatic fruit. A strong maritime influence is noticeable.
In the mouth you can taste the salty coast, apple and spicy orange peel. Then there is also a hint of vanilla and sweetness of caramel.
The finish is pleasantly long with sea salt and spicy. A touch of ginger with some vanilla at the end.
Bottled at 48.8% with no added color or chill filtration, just as nature intended.
