On November 23rd, we celebrate the anniversary of the Molenberg Distillery with a special Anniversary Edition whisky. The previous nine editions have been immensely successful, with almost all of them sold out. With great pleasure, we introduce the 10th jubilee Anniversary Edition: ‘Aurora’!
Aurora is a limited release crafted to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Molenberg Distillery. As the saying goes, “The early bird catches the worm,” a philosophy well understood by the producers of Sauternes wines. Harvesting their grapes in the autumn morning dew ensures the grapes are extra sweet.
This whisky initially matured in Bourbon and Anker casks, followed by an 18-month finish in Sauternes casks. Throughout the maturation process, these casks imparted full-bodied notes of honey and apple. Aurora, our anniversary edition, boasts a full, dry finish that pairs exquisitely with a sweet dessert.
