The name Glengoyne comes from Gaelic and means “Valley of the Goose”. The goose also appears in the distillery’s logo. At the beginning of 2014, Glengoyne expanded its portfolio with this 25-year-old whisky. A much appreciated and sought after publication. Fully matured in hand-selected European oak sherry casks. The whisky is bottled un-chill filtered at a strength of 48%.
This 25-year-old has already won a number of prestigious awards. The 25 Year Old is ‘one of Glengoyne’s oldest and most exclusive whiskies. It is a whisky with a special maturation in sherry casks and with unique, rich and full flavours. But always as the elements allow just unpeated.
Now a vintage edition in a beautiful wooden box that can appeal to many enthusiasts.
Glengoyne 25 is an accessible whisky with a little oak. The full, somewhat sweeter tones give the whisky the character that people are waiting for.

Tasting note
This whisky has in terms of smell thick aromas of sherry maturation, with fruitiness of currants and raisins, figs, orange and red fruit, notes of toasted almonds and brown sugar and classic aromas of aged leather.
The taste has notes of vanilla and dark chocolate and is accompanied by notes of stewed fruit, cinnamon and soft oak. It has a delicious accent of orange marmalade.
In the finish you will find notes of red fruit, licorice and black pepper.
