For the Glenturret 30 Years Old, the rarest casks from the traditional Dunnage Warehouses have been selected. A Niepoort Portuguese oak cask imparts the tropical flavors found in this single malt. This incredible cask, over a hundred years old, has transferred an enchanting warm ruby hue from the dark red port it once held into this extraordinary whisky. European oak sherry and Moscatel casks further enhance the whisky’s abundant rich characteristics. Refill casks contribute a variety of fruit flavors, creating a broad and complex flavor profile.
Founded in 1763, The Glenturret is Scotland’s oldest working distillery. This beautiful boutique distillery is situated beside the River Turret, 3.2 kilometers from the village of Crieff on the edge of the Scottish Highlands.

Tasting note
The Glenturret 30 Years Old offers a sophisticated and intricate tasting experience. The nose opens with a rich bouquet of tropical fruits, featuring notes of ripe pineapple, mango, and a hint of banana, all interwoven with subtle aromas of candied ginger and warm spices. Hints of dark chocolate and toasted almonds add depth and complexity.
On the palate, this whisky is velvety and full-bodied, revealing layers of flavor. Initial sweetness from dried fruits such as figs and dates transitions into a harmonious blend of honey, vanilla, and butterscotch. The influence of the Niepoort Portuguese oak cask is evident, imparting a delightful touch of ruby port, which enhances the tropical fruit notes and adds a unique warmth.
The European oak sherry and Moscatel casks contribute rich, nutty undertones and a slight smokiness, balanced perfectly by the vibrant fruitiness from the refill casks. Spices like cinnamon and nutmeg, along with a whisper of thyme, create a complex and engaging taste journey.
The finish is long and satisfying, with lingering notes of spiced oak, honeyed porridge, and a delicate touch of toasted walnut. The warm, ruby glow from the port cask leaves a lasting impression, making this 30-year-old single malt a true masterpiece that showcases the expertise and heritage of The Glenturret distillery.
