Cask Information
The Macallan Distil Your World Paris is shaped by an exceptional marriage of carefully selected casks, each contributing to its refined and distinctly French character. American and European oak casks, seasoned with sherry, provide the whisky with rich dried fruits, elegant spice and The Macallan’s signature depth. These are complemented by ex-bourbon barrels, which introduce softer notes of vanilla, citrus and delicate sweetness.
The defining element is the inclusion of selected Cognac casks. These rare casks add layers of stone fruit, floral elegance and polished oak, creating a sophisticated connection to the heritage and craftsmanship of France. Brought together, the different cask types form a beautifully balanced whisky with richness, finesse and an unmistakably Parisian allure.

Created by Master Whisky Maker Kirsteen Campbell in collaboration with the renowned Roca brothers of El Celler de Can Roca, this exceptional limited edition translates the atmosphere of Paris into a sophisticated single malt Scotch whisky. It is the fifth chapter in The Macallan’s acclaimed Distil Your World series, following earlier interpretations of some of the world’s most distinctive cities and cultures.
At the heart of this release lies a remarkable cask composition. Whisky matured in American and European oak casks seasoned with sherry is brought together with spirit from ex-bourbon barrels and carefully selected Cognac casks. The use of Cognac-seasoned oak introduces a distinctive French dimension to the whisky, while preserving the rich fruit, natural colour and elegant oak character for which The Macallan is renowned. Bottled at 47.2% ABV, the result is beautifully layered, expressive and unmistakably Parisian.
The aromatic profile evokes an elegant Parisian pâtisserie, with notes of almond croissant, buttery brioche, rose petals, sweet nectarine and vanilla pod. On the palate, soft stone fruit and delicate pastry sweetness are balanced by toasted oak, gentle spices and refined sandalwood. A warm, polished finish leaves lingering impressions of sweet oak and subtle spice, reminiscent of the historic architecture, perfume houses and grand dining rooms of the City of Light.

Nose:
Upon pouring, the whisky reveals an elegant bouquet of almond croissant, fresh brioche and ripe nectarine. Delicate rose petals and vanilla pod add a refined floral sweetness, while subtle notes of polished oak and soft citrus create the atmosphere of a sophisticated Parisian pâtisserie.
Palate:
The palate is rich and beautifully layered, led by stone fruits, honeyed pastry and creamy vanilla. The Cognac cask influence introduces notes of apricot, white peach and gentle florals, while sherry-seasoned oak contributes dried fruit, warm spice and a refined depth. Toasted almonds and soft oak provide balance and structure.
Finish:
The finish is graceful and lingering, with sweet oak, delicate spice and soft fruit slowly fading into notes of vanilla, sandalwood and buttery pastry. It concludes with a polished floral elegance, capturing the sophistication and timeless charm of Paris.
