At some 315 meters above sea level, Tomatin is Scotland’s fourth highest distillery. The name Tomatin comes from the nearby place of the same name and is pronounced “Tomat-in”. This new series from Tomatin depicts the symbiosis of the five natural elements that interlock in whisky production. Fire is expressed in the second phase by the maturation of the spirit in toasted (burnt) oak barrels. Tomatin describes this as de-char/re-char hogsheads.

Tasting note
The nose has aromas of creamy butterscotch, citrus fruit, winter spices and an undertone of vanilla. When tasting
notes of freshly baked apple pie, accents of cinnamon, a hint of citrus fruit and recurring creamy vanilla.
And the aftertaste is slightly drying with fine spicy accents.
