The Cardhu 14 years old Special Release 2021 is a 14 year old Speyside single malt from the Cardhu distillery, bottled in the Diageo Special Releases series 2021. This Cardhu has matured in refill America oak casks followed by a red wine cask finish. It was bottled in 2021 at natural cask strength of 55.5%.
Each whisky is inspired by a myth and for Cardhu the packaging illustrates the myth of a blackened rock on which grew a mysterious tree with striking red blossoms. This tree enriches the environment with a sweet honey-like scent and hints of spice that you will find in abundance in this whisky.

Cardhu 14 Years Special Release 2021 is a soft golden single malt whisky from Scotland. A limited edition that has been allowed to mature for fourteen years with a finish in wine barrels. It has a calm, mild aroma full of sweet notes of fruit. This includes white grapes and lychee. Surrounded by the sharper hints of green apple and pear. These are closely followed by orange with a slightly spicy undertone and savory hint of pastry. Its taste, like its aroma, is pleasantly soft. Full of toffee and a floral hint of violets. Paired with red apple and oak. The whole is concluded by a very short finish. Spicy, with a pinch of white pepper and a final burst of green apple.
