Does unknown really make unloved? The Highland Queen brand was founded in 1893. In that year Roderick Macdonald decided to enter the whisky trade and blend his own whisky. Since the Highland Queen company currently only owns one distillery, that means it’s probably Tullibardine. Highland Queen Majesty 46 years old, a Highland single malt of no less than 46 years old. Very exclusive and special for this brand. A very impressive bottle, probably from Tullibardine, Highland single malt which was distilled in 1971 and aged before being finished in a sherry cask and finally bottled in 2018 aged 46. A brand with a mysterious edge and perhaps many secrets. We think this 46 year old Grande Dame is a beautiful vintage edition that may be undervalued. We are convinced, given the rarity of this Queen, of her value for collectors and enthusiasts. We will never see anything like that again.

Tasting note
This whisky smells fruity with ripe peaches, vanilla, toffee, milk chocolate and a hint of lime. In terms of taste, you again have a lot of fruit with herbs, licorice, aniseed and milk chocolate.
The finish is very long with the flavors of coffee, oak, cinnamon and black pepper.
