The Springbank Distillery is located in Campbelltown, a quaint Scottish town at the southern tip of the Kintyre Peninsula on the glorious west coast. The first written mention of Campbelltown whiskey dates from 1591. Springbank was founded in 1828 on the site of Archibald Mitchell’s illegal distillery, making it his 14th licensed distillery in Campbeltown. Today Springbank is one of his three distilleries in the Campbeltown area and is the oldest independent family-run distillery in Scotland.
This is the second 2022 release of the Limited Edition Springbank 25 Year Old. Aged in a combination of 50% bourbon and 50% sherry barrel refills. Manufactured in late 2022, one of only 1,400.

Tasting note
You smell light smoke. Lightly spiced and honeyed notes linger, complementing the lightly ashed smoke that flows through the whole dram. A lingering finish, which slightly sweetens the smoke notes. Some light hints of darker fruits lurk in the background.
